Young Variety is the young professionals' branch of Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa. It provides young professionals in the Des Moines area with opportunities to give back, support local children, and connect with others. Year-round, Young Variety hosts fundraising events and builds strategic partnerships to further Variety’s mission of helping children who are at risk, underprivileged, critically ill, and living with special needs.

Grant Tours

Join us for one of our charity grant tours to see the impact of Variety’s grants firsthand. Tours are held quarterly with a social to follow. Check our Facebook page to view upcoming tours!

Volunteer

Variety volunteers are needed throughout the year to staff fundraising events, build bikes, assist in the office, and more. Check out our volunteer opportunities here.

Be a Young Variety VIP

Once a year, Variety asks its supporters to raise funds leading up to the Variety Telethon. Very Interested Persons, or VIPs, solicit donations or host fundraising events to garner donations.

Join a Committee

Share your time and talents to support Iowa's kids by joining a Young Variety event planning committee.

Sporting Clay Classic Volunteers

Join us at our fourth annual Sporting Clay Classic on May 8 at New Pioneer Clay Target Center! Volunteers will be at each station, pressing a button to release the clays for participants to shoot. Sign up here!
