For new and expecting parents, having the right supplies can make a big difference. Through EveryStep’s Stork’s Nest program, families receive essential baby items while learning about healthy behaviors that support both mom and baby.
Xiomara first connected with EveryStep after learning she was expecting in April 2025. As a Stork’s Nest participant, she earned points by staying engaged with her medical care and other healthy behaviors. She was then able to use those points to choose items her family needed, including diapers, soap, a baby carrier, a baby monitor and a new car seat.
I’m so happy and I’m glad I have this help. The diapers are especially helpful because WIC covers food and formula, but diapers are expensive. I’m also thankful for the soap, baby carrier, baby monitor and, most importantly, the new car seat. Every parent needs that help sometimes. Thank you so much.

Stork’s Nest provides new and expecting moms who meet program guidelines with opportunities to earn points for healthy behaviors and redeem them for needed baby items, including diapers, clothing, strollers, cribs and car seats. The program is made possible through community support, including a grant from Variety.
Variety’s funding helped provide baby health and safety items and essentials to families, impacting an estimated 750 children across Polk, Warren, Dallas and Madison counties.
