Thanks to a $6,000 grant from Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa’s Jack Pray Compassion Fund, ChildServe is bringing Plagiocephaly (“flat head syndrome”) treatment to its Ames location. Families in the area will now have access to specialized MyCRO Band helmets for early intervention, making expert care more convenient and accessible close to home.

ChildServe's program offers families a multidisciplinary approach to care by including both an Orthotist and a Physical Therapist in evaluations and treatment planning, as needed. We’ve found that 41% of our Johnston Plagiocephaly appointments come from families in or around the Ames area. By bringing the service to Ames, we can better serve that population and reduce their travel time while expanding access to care.
