At last year's Principal Charity Classic three-year-old Kholson received his custom adaptive bike! Kholson is the second youngest of nine siblings and has spent the last year riding bikes with all of his brothers and sisters!
Kholson relies on his wheelchair to move around and has been working on learning to use a gait trainer during his physical therapy appointments. This bike has allowed Kholson to strengthen his muscles, improve his coordination, and help him work towards his goal to walk independently, while still enjoying the simple fun of riding a bike.
Kholson has absolutely LOVED his bike! It has allowed him to be more independent outside and to be able to ride bikes with his brother and sister! He's gotten really good at pedaling himself and now only needs minimal assistance, turning is still a challenge though!
