Child, Adolescent, and Parent Support (CAPS) is committed to strengthening families across Marshall County by providing essential programs and services that connect them to community resources, meet their basic needs, and foster a nurturing home environment. At the heart of CAPS is the belief that every family has unique strengths, and with the right support, those strengths can be the foundation for lasting growth and success.

Last year, Child, Adolescent, and Parent Support (CAPS) received a Variety Grant to support The Nest, an incentive-based program that provides essential health and safety items for families in need. Through The Nest, families earn points by participating in educational workshops and support services. These points can then be exchanged for brand-new baby items such as diapers, wipes, car seats, and other necessities.

This mother shared, "“I like The Nest program because it helped me get diapers, and for us that is very helpful right now.”

The Nest is a vital community resource that helps ease financial stress while promoting the well-being of children. Thanks to the support from Variety, CAPS is able to keep these important items in stock - ensuring families have access to the tools they need to create safe, healthy homes.

Each year, The Nest serves hundreds of income-eligible families in Marshall County. Its success is a testament to the power of collaboration, made possible by the dedication of community partners and the generosity of donors who believe in strengthening families.

Programs like The Nest not only provide tangible support, but also foster hope and empowerment - one family at a time.
