Variety – the Children’s Charity of Iowa is pleased to announce the appointment of Lance Gardner, Senior Managing Director of Principal Midwest Business Center, as president of the Variety State Board of Directors for 2020-2021. Variety also welcomes new members to the executive committee and to the Young Variety Board of Directors.

"We are pleased to welcome Lance as our board president in addition to all of our executive committee members and board members. Their unique backgrounds and diverse experience will make them great assets to our organization,” Sheri McMichael, executive director of Variety said. “Lance brings talent, expertise and leadership to Variety, and we look forward to having his insights as we navigate this next year.”

Members of the 2020-2021 executive committee include:

President: Lance Gardner, Principal Midwest Business Center
Vice President of Operations: Gabe Olson, West Bank
Vice President of Development: Kim Hegedus, Community State Bank
Vice President of Marketing: Polly Loneman, Prairie Meadows
Past President: Susan Hatten, Holmes Murphy

Variety also welcomes two new board members:

Jon Phillips, Wells Fargo
Kenny Chasten, Wellmark
Lisa Baker, Baker Electric Company

Young Variety, the young professionals’ arm of Variety, also elected a new slate of officers and new board members:

President: Christina Tim, Wells Fargo
Vice President: Jacob Repp, New York Life
Secretary: Amber Weger, West Bank
Vice President of Communications: Maggie Moller, MercyOne Des Moines
Vice President of Events: Colby Elmitt, QCI
Vice President of Outreach: Jeremiah Wright, U.S. Bank
Vice President of Philanthropy: Patrick Murphy, Wells Fargo
Past President: Joe Sheridan, Choice Creative Solutions

Young Variety also welcomed four new board members:
